Issues logging into production should be directed to local campus help desk teams that support campus single-sign-on accounts and services.
Workday Training Tenant
How to Access MD Connect Workday Training Tenant:
Features and Usage
- The Workday training tenant is designed to be used as a training and demonstration site to help MD Connect campuses with Workday user training and to help support common user Workday activities.
- Active Workday users can access this tenant using their campus single-sign-on credentials.
- Data is scrambled (e.g. Govt ID, DOB, phone), so live demonstrations of Workday screens can be more securely shown during training sessions, meetings, and the tenant can be used to help create campus Workday support content.
- Proxy access can be enabled for HR, Finance, or IT support/trainer activity for campus individuals where necessary by submitting a ticket to MD Connect.
- Using this tenant will not impact or interfere with any other Workday tenant activities or testing (e.g. development and testing within Workday Sandbox, MD1, or MD2 tenants, or production integrations).
- The training tenant cannot be used to run or test external integrations, so it will not impact other downstream production systems that integrate with Workday.
Training Data Refresh Cycle
- Data in the training tenant is typically copied from our production tenant each month, then scrambled and made available to users after single-sign-on is configured, following this refresh schedule: MD3 - Training Tenant Refresh Schedule
Workday Sandbox Tenant
How to Access MD Connect Workday Sandbox Tenant:
- Access to the sandbox tenant is available to users that assist with testing Workday enhancements, changes, and new features.
- Sandbox link: https://impl.workday.com/wday/authgwy/marylandconnect/login.htmld
- If a user cannot access the SBX tenant, they can contact campus security partner(s) for assistance with a password reset, or submit a ticket to MD Connect for assistance.
- Passwords must be reset every 90 days in SBX, and they overwritten each week by the "local" password stored in production, so the reset process must include setting this password in order to retain access beyond one week. See details here: https://usmd.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/33/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=23
Sandbox Data and Refresh Cycle
- Data is not scrambled from production, so proxy access is limited in this tenant
- Data is refreshed and copied automatically from production every Friday evening
Workday Preview Tenant
How to Access MD Connect Workday Preview Tenant:
- Access to the preview tenant is limited to MD Connect support team technicians immediately after R1 and R2 are installed. The tenant can be made available to campus support team users that may need to test new features prior to release date. During such periods, campus support teams can submit a request for access to MD Connect.
- Preview link: https://impl.workday.com/wday/authgwy/marylandconnect_preview/login.htmld
- Most of the time, campus users will not have access to the Preview tenant because it is used by the MD Connect support team to perpare for the twice annual Workday release cycles that typically occur in March and September.
Preview Data and Refresh Cycle
- Data is not scrambled from production, and access is limited in this tenant
- Data is refreshed and copied from production based on Workday Release cycles and MD Connect project planning and timelines.
